Club Info

In 2006, a group of  transplanted Canadians had the crazy notion that Central Texans might embrace the sport of curling and formed the Lone Star Curling Club. Sure enough, seven years later, Austin has proven it’s just weird enough that curling has become a mainstay in the CenTex region.

We are currently in the middle of our Spring League. Check out all the details here.

Our regular curling sessions are Sundays from 9:45am-11:45am at the Northcross Mall location of Chaparral Ice:  (map) Unless otherwise noted, our Sunday sessions are league games.  Click Here for team match-ups as well as standings and results.  On occasion we can accommodate new folks wanting to learn how to curl. Please contact our membership director for more information.

How to Join
The Lone Star Curling Club welcomes anyone with an interest in curling. Previous experience is not required but we do recommend a learn-to-curl session or two to get the basics down.

To join the Lone Star Curling Club, just come by to our weekly curling games, or you can contact Tim Given (membership director), for more information. Annual dues are $50 for membership in the USA Curling Association and insurance. League fees are based on what LSCC is charged for ice time and the number of scheduled weeks in the Fall and Spring Leagues.
